Catherine Johnson

A long term Marlovian who wants to be your voice on Marlow Town Council

Meet Catherine

Catherine has lived in Marlow for over 30 years and has deep roots in the local community. Her two daughters attended local schools, she leads weekly Simply Walk walks in Marlow, volunteers with the local Ramblers group and supports the Wycombe Homeless Connection night shelter.

Professionally, Catherine's background is in science and environmental management. After studying Chemistry at the University and completing a PhD, she spent several years in environmental consultancy before becoming a climate science adviser in central government, where she worked for more than 20 years.

Catherine is passionate about protecting Marlow’s natural environment, improving opportunities for walking and cycling, and ensuring local residents have a strong voice in decisions that affect their community.

Catherine's priorities if elected:

  • To protect Marlow's environment and the river which makes our town so special.
  • Safer streets and pavements, pushing the council for improvements to pavements and cycles routes to allow residents to get around town more easily and safely.
  • Listening to residents and speaking up for the changes you want.
